About the Designer: Pierre de Chanterac is the 2023 WCC Turkish Coffee/Ibrik Champion. He is also a two-time Brewer's Cup Champion, Aeropress Champion, and Q Arabica Grader.
Coffee cups are often associated with traditional utensils, shapes, and designs. Pierre challenged us to create a cup with a modern twist. By cleverly playing with the cup's shape, thickness, and aesthetics, we successfully reinvented the cup, giving modern coffee a fresh taste.
The wider opening allows the coffee grounds to sink to the bottom of the cup and settle well. The wavy design provides extra protection, ensuring clean grounds.
The 110ml capacity is enough for 7 to 9 sips. It's perfect with a classic Ibrik.
The thick walls help absorb some heat quickly. The coffee takes about 3 to 4 minutes to reach the desired temperature.
The cup's smooth texture and soft color enhance the perception of sweetness.
